
Objective & Challenge
I Frati delicatessen, located in Kifissia and Mykonos, offers a curated selection of fine gastronomy — from cheeses and cold cuts to truffles, wines, and spirits. Our challenge was to design elegant bags that would allow customers to transport their purchases with ease, while reflecting the refined lifestyle and fashion-conscious culture of these regions. The bags needed to be practical yet distinctive, embodying the brand’s Italian heritage and premium positioning.
Strategy & Creativity
We sought to highlight the exquisite products of I Frati without resorting to conventional advertising. Instead, we used eye-catching fashion photography, creatively adapted to feature delicatessen items such as prosciutto, caviar, truffles, fine cheeses, and sauces. This approach elevated the bags beyond mere packaging, turning them into stylish accessories that resonate with the brand’s clientele.
Implementation & Results
The final series of paper bags combined luxury with functionality. Practical for everyday use yet visually striking, they aligned perfectly with I Frati’s brand identity and the expectations of its discerning customers. The design reinforced the delicatessen’s reputation for elegance and exclusivity, while offering a memorable brand experience.
This creative solution earned INK Design the Bronze Award at the Packaging Awards 2022, recognizing excellence in retail packaging design.
