Objective & Challenge
For over 50 years, the Agricultural Poultry Cooperative of Arta has supplied the Greek market with premium-quality chickens. As part of a broader rebranding initiative, INK Design was tasked with creating new packaging that would refresh the brand’s image. The challenge was to design packaging that stood out from competitors while remaining practical, stylish, and transparent enough for consumers to clearly see the product they were purchasing.
Strategy & Creativity
We studied the competition and developed a color-coded system to differentiate product categories. Fresh chickens were given a black background, while barbecue products used burgundy. Additional color variations were applied across labels to distinguish specific items. This approach offered clarity and practicality while adding a lively, modern touch to supermarket shelves, ensuring the brand’s products were both recognizable and appealing.
Implementation & Results
The packaging design emphasized readability and transparency. Labels were carefully sized to cover only what was necessary, allowing consumers to see the meat clearly and trust its quality. The combination of modern aesthetics, functional design, and clear product differentiation refreshed the brand’s image and reinforced consumer confidence.
This innovative solution earned INK Design the Silver Award at the Packaging Awards 2022, recognizing excellence in food industry packaging design.
